Ok, finally going to start my cooking blog. Have chosen a recipe to begin with. I have decided to go with a personal favourite of mine, Char Siu (Chinese Barbeque Pork). It is a fantastically tasty dish and I am totally hooked on it. Although it does take some preparation time, it is easy to cook and well worth it!
Have had a nice relaxing day today, chatting with friends online, racing cars on Gran Turismo 5 and watching movies. Also did some researching for new recipes. Had something called Ikan Bakar in Malaysia and then had it again in Dublin. It is fish marinated in chilli paste and belacan and then grilled in banana leaves. So got a recipe for that now.. hope to try it next weekend.
For dinner, had a nice big steak! Cooked to perfection by my mother. Flash fried for a few seconds each side and practically raw and bleeding on the inside. Accompanied by steak house chips, battered onion rings, mushrooms, grilled tomato and fried eggs. Was fantastic!
Right, recipe writing time!
