Abducted!!

I woke up this morning at 7am, but my wrist watch, which I forgot to take off, read 6:10am, 50 minutes slow. It was telling the right time last night before I went to bed.. I figured maybe the battery was running low, so I reset it to the correct time and kept an eye on it. It has now been 15 hours since I reset it and it is still telling the correct time.. This, coupled with not being able to sit comfortably at all today, has lead me to the only plausible explanation.. I was abducted by aliens for approximately 50 minutes! :|. It was my own bloody fault though, left the window open last night.

My sister and her boyfriend have flown back to Norway. It is eerily quiet in the house. I do miss them when they leave.. not that I would ever tell them that :p.

I am running a little behind on setting up my cooking blog. I wanted to spend time with Tracey and Eric before they left. Also I have been trying to decide on the perfect recipe to kick off on. The general consensus is that, as I am of course British, I should start with a British recipe. Now there are many British recipes that are completely underrated. However, British food has a bad reputation for being somewhat bland and dull. This does not need to be the case, there are little tweaks that can be made to most British recipes that will make them absolutely fantastic! Personally though, as I am sure I have mentioned on more than one occasion in this blog already, I am a HUGE fan of Malaysian cuisine!! So I will probably start with a Malaysian dish. The problem with that, is narrowing the list down. There are so so many incredible dishes to choose from and it is hard to decide where to begin. I do have a few favourites and think I may decide to go with the first Chinese / Malaysian dish I learned to cook.

I have committed myself to making a decision by Friday. Next thing will be picking a name for the blog.. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Got the new Thomann catalogue through the post yesterday. Thomann is a German Music Store which sells all kinds of musical instruments and paraphernalia. I bought my guitar and my set of Hohner harmonicas from their website. Amazing prices and fantastic service. I think my next instrument will be a saxophone!! That should be good for a fad.

Assuming I do not get recalled to the mothership, I will be back...

Toodles,

~ Martin
