Where did it all go??

As a young lad I used to be fairly creative in my own way. I was never going to set the world on fire, but I wrote songs, I drew, I composed a little.. it was fun and it was a way of expressing myself, even if most of the time I was the only one who read or heard my creations. I have not really tried doing any of these things for many years but recently I have been inspired to rekindle my creative side... However this is easier said than done. It seems my mind is not quite as imaginative and creative as it once was. Having taken such a long break from it, I seem to have lost it. I refuse to give up though... I dusted off my guitar again tonight (I have been a little lax with my practice) and am starting with some easy songs.. I will get there. My advice to anyone reading this that has a hobby or a talent, even if you are not very good at it but just enjoy it, keep it up. When you let things get in the way of them for too long, it is hard to get them back.

Also I decided a little while ago to begin searching for bands to promote again.. I have also been a little lax with this. However, I have just pulled out my contacts list and will, as of tomorrow, work my way through it to re-establish contact with as many labels, promoters, merchandisers, studios, etc as I can. I have already picked a name for the rebirth of my company. Before it was called "Audible Realism", but I have decided to give it a fun name with a little more edge... "Deluded Dreams Of Grandeur Promotions" or for short "Deluded D.O.G Promotions". Music should be fun, edgy and anyone wanting to be in the music industry must be a little deluded at least, otherwise what is the point? We should all have deluded dreams, as the saying goes "Your reach should always exceed your grasp". Always reach for your dreams no matter how deluded they are.
